Studies show that people who don’t stress out about getting the exact hours of sleep that they need, get to sleep easily compared to others.

When your mind is racing and you can’t sleep, distract yourself with random thoughts instead of the things that worry you or even the fact that you have difficulty sleeping.

Think of pleasant memories from the past, imagine a place you want to be at, or even picture yourself as a character in your favorite series or movie! Through this psychological trick, sleep may come to you then.

Or, you may do activities like meditating, listening to music or an audiobook, petting your dog or cat in bed, or scribbling on paper. Just don’t use electronics to distract yourself since blue lights are stimulating and can disrupt your sleep cycle more than it already is!
