Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, accounting for 60 to 80 percent of all dementia cases. That’s what we will be discussing in this article. The MIND diet: The connection between diet and the development of dementia is a topic widely studied by the scientific community. Some experts believe that adopting a healthy diet packed with foods that can help control oxidative stress and inflammation and diabetes, heart disease, obesity, etc., can drastically reduce the risk of dementia. Thus the MIND diet was born. MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. It is essentially a combination between the famous Mediterranean diet and the DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) that is expected to work as a meal plan for Alzheimer’s prevention. Highly nutritious veggies such as kale, broccoli, collards, and spinach should be consumed six times a week.

2. Other vegetables

When people say that vegetables are good for you, they’re certainly not lying. You should also consume other vegetables besides the leafy green ones at least once a day – include them all in a salad, for example.
