Who can resist a nap during the day? Especially at the end of lunch when your energy seems to be running out and you are unwilling to do anything?
While it’s rewarding (especially if you have the air purifier on), taking a daytime nap can have many long-term negative consequences, such as:
• Being awake during bedtime
• Taking longer to fall asleep
• Tossing and turning in bed
• Watch rest time and sleep quality decrease
• Increased daytime sleepiness
• Lack of concentration and fatigue
Research indicates that taking a short nap of about 10 minutes can improve attention and productivity at work, and as such is acceptable. Longer naps should be banned.
