#4 – Drinking Caffeine or Alcohol

Caffeine and alcohol consumption throughout the day should be limited (especially before bedtime), otherwise, it is only natural that you are having problems sleeping. This is because caffeine and alcohol contain substances that disrupt the body’s natural function, affecting sleep cycles.

Coffee is a stimulant that helps keep people awake. A morning cup of coffee can make miracles for those who need to wake up and focus on their work.

But there are also other caffeinated products that have the same effect, such as teas, chocolates, sodas, and even some painkillers. So do not abuse your dose because coffee may be what causes insomnia. Therefore, do not drink caffeine for at least 6 hours before bed if you want a good night’s sleep.

Alcohol may cause you to feel tired or sleepy, but after a few hours, it will wake you up in the middle of the night and prevent you from having proper sleep, also you will be more tired the next morning than when you lay down.
