#6 – You’re going through menopause

Menopause is marked by a decrease in the body’s hormone levels, including estrogen that can impact memory.

This plunge in estrogen levels is linked to normal memory deficits and confusion, also known as “brain fog,” and sleep problems that can further contribute to occasional lapses, resulting in short-term memory issues.

Although menopause is not a condition that requires medical treatment, there are certain ways to control its symptoms, which may include hormone therapy, low-dose antidepressants, vaginal estrogen, high blood pressure medications, etc.

Some tricks to battle memory problems caused by menopause include having rich nutrition, sleeping and resting, and keeping stress in check.
