5. Feelings of detachment

Emotional detachment is characterized by an inability to connect with one’s feelings or other’s people feelings. It can be used as a shield to protect against anxiety, stress, and depression. But more often than not, it happens uncontrollably when people are emotionally drained.

If you feel that nothing and no one can have an emotional impact on you, that you don’t feel either good or bad, and that you are simply not interested in other people, you are probably dealing with feelings of detachment.
