2. Stamina

If you have been looking into how you can build stamina, then you surely have noticed that you do not have enough stamina. That is a problem! If you are, however, still unsure of whether you have the stamina or not, there are tests that you can do to make sure, and which will tell you exactly whether you need to increase stamina or not.

On the one hand, you can try to check your pulse and count the number of beats (beats per minute). Make note of that number, then do 20 squats and count again. If you notice that your beat increases by a percentage of 25% then your stamina is good. If the percentage increases to a number between 25% and 50%, then your stamina is not up to shape and you better consult a heart doctor.

On the other hand, you can go to a building that has many stories and slowly walk up the stairs until you reach the fourth floor. When you reach the place, count your beats. If you notice that the number of beats exceeds 120 beats per minute, then you’re not up to shape with your stamina.
All of these results could mean that you have heart problems, which calls for a cardiovascular specialist. Therefore, instead of trying to improve stamina with stamina exercises, make sure that you go to a doctor, especially if you are over 50 years old.
