10. Toothbrush holders
We saved the bathroom’s dirtiest item for last. Not only these little holders collect the toothpaste gunk and mouth bacteria after you finish brushing your teeth, but they can actually also pick up the bacteria that are spread into the air by toilet flushing.
That may occur if your sink is close enough to the toilet – which it often is. And you know what the worst thing is? Everybody seems to forget to deep clean their toothbrush holders!
Move your toothbrush holder as far from the toilet as possible and rinse your toothbrush properly with tap water before storing it. And don’t forget to wash the holder thoroughly at least once a week.
