7. Don’t: Hydroxy Acids And Retinol

If you’re looking for ingredients that excel at getting rid of skin wrinkles, then you’d be fine using retinol.

The latter is known as the anti-aging ingredient or alpha hydroxy acids that have a similar effect on the skin, soothing it and removing skin lines. However, it is not a good idea to mix these two!

You might assume that when products promise the same results, mixing them is a good idea to double up those results, but that couldn’t be any further away from the truth.

When it comes to retinol and hydroxy acids together, they can irritate your skin to the point where you feel it breaking. The key to skincare is to apply gentle products to it, and these two are way too harsh together.
