According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the flu resulted in 80,000 deaths last year alone.
The flu is a contagious respiratory ailment caused by influenza viruses, which are divided into 3 types: A, B, and C, meaning that there are multiple bugs that can make you sick during every flu season.
While the difference between the cold and flu can be confusing, keep in mind that the flu symptoms are always more severe, including extreme fatigue, headaches, chills, and fever, in addition to cold symptoms, such as a sore throat and runny nose.
What about the stomach flu? Well, it’s usually caused by rotavirus and norovirus, resulting in symptoms like vomiting, watery diarrhea, stomach pain, fever, cramping, headache, and nausea.
